Long 40 hour life with five standard AA alkaline batteries High resolution VGA LCD display Automatic temperature compensation
The BoltMike III ultrasonically measures tension and clamp load of threaded fasteners. A large, bright, easy-to-read display; rapid calibration and setup; and automatic temperature compensation ensure fast, repeatable, and accurate fastener tension measurements in many diverse applications, such as aerospace, automotive, power generation and petrochemical fields.
The BoltMike III instrument is based on an ultrasonic measurement of tension and clamp load. An ultrasonic pulse is generated by the transducer, and it is transmitted in a fastener. The pulse travels along the length of the fastener and it is reflected back. In this way the BoltMike III measures the total transit time and derives the associated voltage value.
The main features of the BoltMike III instrument include:
Simultaneous display of fastener load, stress, and elongation
Long 40 hour life with five standard "AA" alkaline batteries
High resolution VGA LCD display to verify signal and optimize probe placement
Automatic temperature compensation
Regression analysis for calibration on custom materials
Software to download measurements, and create and print reports.
