Thanks to a 6 kHz pulse repetition frequency, real-time analog and TTL outputs, the USN 60 flaw detectors series are ideal for a wide range of automated systems testing applications. The exclusive SmartView feature displays even the shortest echoes for critical scanning and rotating part inspections. The selectable 450V Square Wave Pulser satisfies a wide range of tough-to-penetrate applications, such as difficult to penetrate metallic applications and especially non-metals inspection like composite materials.
The option called "Color Leg" is part of the functional characteristics of GE Krautkramer USN 60 L and it is used when an angled probe for weld inspection is installed. Color Leg automatically separates the screen / A-Scan in three bands of different colors associating the first color to the first reflection of the path of the angled probe, the second color to the second reflection and so for the third.
The DAC/TCG option allows to calculate the amplitude of the signals as a percentage or dB level with respect to the defined DAC curve. For each DAC curve, up to four "Curve Offset" can be defined in order to have multiple DAC curves that differ by +/- dB from the original DAC curve.
The DGS (Distance Gain Size)/AVG option shows a curve related to the size of an equivalent defect. The ERS (equivalent reflector size) function automatically calculates the size of the equivalent defect diameter in mm or inches.
